My favorite things about Lily at three years old:
- She calls everything in the past "last night"
- She says "footpaste" for toothpaste, "washclub" for washcloth and "fink" instead of think
- She doesn't say "can't" it's always "cannot"
- She has a great memory - and will apologize for naughty things she did days and weeks ago
- She can count to 10 in Samoan, but after number 5 (lima) she always says "what's next?" then carries on to safulu!
- She recognizes almost all of her letters and can sometimes identify which letter words start with when she hears them
- She is a great little singer, and can sing on pitch!
- She LOVES balls - basketball, soccer, rugby, pretty much anything she can throw or bounce
- She thinks she is in charge (but what 3-year-old doesn't?)
- She likes to say prayers, but they're almost always the same 4 or 5 sentences and she usually says them as fast as she can. However, sometimes she will "help" Tessa say the prayer, and it's just precious!
- She loves music - right now her favorite songs are "All the Single Ladies" "Whatcha Say" "Good Night" oh and still "Jesus our Brother" :)
- She loves talking. She has full conversations with just about anyone who will listen.
- When she gets nervous she crams all of her fingers into her mouth. And sometimes she'll lift up her shirt and cram that in there too!
- She's moving past the temper tantrums, and is starting to become pretty sensitive and emotional.
- She can put on a good pout - she'll scrunch up her face, fold her arms and stomp away saying "I'm MAD!" (Yeah - it's hard not to laugh!)
- Yes - she's still in her crib... I've got to get that girl moved into her big-girl bed! To my defense though, she loves it and has never even tried to climb out.... sometimes it's hard to mess with a good thing!
- She's a great toothbrusher. She'll brush and brush and brush and brush. It's awesome!
- She is a good eater too! She loves veggies - especially green salad and broccoli. Actually I really can't think of anything she won't eat!
- For some unknown reason she LOVES Caillou. I wish I knew where/why/how she ever got started on that show, but it's her favorite. And unfortunately for me, Tessa HATES it!
- She is starting to role-play when she's playing. She'll take on different characters and voices and use her imagination to create situations and emotions. I LOVE that!
- Lily love art projects. She can spend hours with watercolors, scissors and markers.
- She's a crazy good drawer. She can actually draw recognizable "people"
