Rebecca called me up at work and said "wouldn't it be fun to have a little Easter party for all the kiddos?" "Yeah! That'd be great!"
PAUSE [[Knowing Beck is famous for throwing out great ideas, the hoping someone else would grab the ball and run with it, I let this one float out there for a little bit....]]
She caught on and knew that I KNEW what she was doing!
Long story short - Beck (reluctantly, but excellently) planned a super fun Easter party for the kids! We kind of went the same route as we did with our Fall Party, in that each of the mommies took an "event" and we made a day of it!
The weather wasn't exactly spring-ish, but we wanted to play outside anyway! We blew lots of bubbles.
Tessa ate lots of bubbles.
I did a picnic lunch for the kiddos. I love finding and trying new recipes and a room of 2-3 year olds is a great testing ground! We had cut-out PB&J's, fruity marshmallow salad (which was horrible), veggie chips and bunny pudding cups!
Mia told me what she thought of that awful salad...
Cute Ella made all of these Easter hats for everyone. They didn't last long, but Tessa was a total team player and wore hers till it fell apart!
Mary & Lex organized the easter egg hunt. This year Tessy was the one who just wanted to find what was in the egg, rather than find more eggs!
Lily got into it though!
Of course every party has its own dose of drama (Noah hit Lily and she got a bloody nose!)
And I love these two pictures that totally typify these girls and their personalities...
Woo! Another party for the books!
