My old college friend (old as in dear.... not old as in OLD :) ) Steph made this dress. She has a booth of all kinds of crafties at the Farmers Market in Logan. The first time I saw the dress, I LOVED it! I was still pregnant at the time, and it looked a little big, and a little PINK! I wasn't sure if it would work as a blessing dress, so I didn't end up getting it.
Later on, I was reading her blog, and discovered that the beautiful pink baby dress had sold, and was happy for whomever ended up with it, but a little part of me was sad that it wasn't mine!
Well, a couple of weeks before Tessa was born, my mom pulled the beautiful pink brocade dress out and said that she had bought it for the baby! I was thrilled! I still wasn't sure if we could use it for her blessing, but it was such a beautiful, special dress, I was so happy to have it!
After a little surveying and adopting an unofficial "act now, repent later" attitude, I decided we were going to use the dress. We were already planning on waiting until January to bless her so my Grandmother could be here, and by then it would probably fit her.
Well, on Sunday morning, blessing day, I pull the dress out, and put it on my baby for the first time (WHAT was I thinking not trying it on before then just in case???) and it fit absolutely PERFECTLY!!! It was like this precious dress was made just for my precious baby. She couldn't have looked more beautiful, and now we have a special memory for her and her glorious PINK blessing gown!

Hey, I think it's custom babies wear white, but I (personally) don't think it really matters. It's beautiful. What a special day! But you did have me cracking up over the 'act now, repent later' attitude. So true!
It was a beautiful dress for a beautiful baby who is part of a beautiful family! the whole day was great, you did good!
