Let me start by saying, I have never been caught up in the American Idol hype. I can honestly say before this season I have never watched an episode. Yeah, I've caught glimpses here and there, but it has not appealed to me on any level. Hearing amateur's off-key covers of songs I never liked in the first place just wasn't worth my time!
Well this season, Seuao decided he wanted to get in on the American Idol bandwagon. (I think his recovery time on the couch had a little something to do with it...) So, I have caught a few more glimpses this time, and with the Salt Lake auditions, and the Samoan gal that made it to Hollywood, I was reeled in...
But man oh man, can I just tell you that I really really really can't stand Paula! I can put up with the off-key covers, Randy's limited "yo yo" and "dog" vocabulary, Simon's harsh (but fairly accurate) criticisms, and even Kara's know-it-all attitude. But Paula. Every time she opens her mouth, I want to just pinch her lips shut! Nothing she utters makes sense, she acts totally strung out on valium, and her weird flirty weird vibe with Simon is just too much.
Ugh - that show does my head in.

I, too, have never really watched it. This season, if it's on, I will watch it and I totally get the "hype" surrounding it. It's pretty entertaining. I get a kick out of Simon's attitude. And yeah, Paula's nuts.
Paula is the comic, kind, redeeming personality. Just laugh and appreciate the variety of life. I like Paula.
Rach you are too funny! i think its funny how she gets to you. I cant really stand watching that show for various reasons.
I wonder if Paula just struggles with words. She seems to have a kind heart.
That's funny! I love American Idol, I've been watching it since season 2. But I agree with you! We always wonder if Paula is drugged!!
I LOVE THAT SHOW! No more dissing on the Paula-meister! She's such a love.
